The Nursing Workforce Diversity (NWD) Program Grant is made available from the US Department of Heath and Human Services: Bureau of Health Workforce Division of Nursing and Public Health.

"The purpose of NWD is to increase nursing education opportunities for individuals who are from disadvantaged backgrounds, including racial and ethnic minorities that are underrepresented among registered nurses.  The program supports projects that provide student stipends or scholarships, stipends for diploma or associate degree nurses to enter a bridge or degree completion program, student scholarships or stipends for accelerated nursing degree programs, pre-entry preparation, advanced education preparation, and retention activities."

The program is accepting applications through November 14, 2016, and there is a technical assistance webinar coming up on September 27, 2016 at 2:30pm.

Full details on the grant can be found online at the Grants.gov website.
